Sound familiar?
You have people doing the work. Nobody owns it.
- You have a developer, a designer and a marketer, but you still decide every priority and chase every task.
- The list of store improvements keeps growing, and little of it gets finished.
- Launches and promotions go out late, untested or with broken tracking.
- You look at the numbers, but nobody turns them into next month’s work.
- You need ecommerce leadership, but not a full-time hire yet.
What we take off your plate
What a fractional ecommerce manager owns
Improvement planning
One prioritized backlog and a 30–90 day roadmap, built from your data and your customers’ friction points.
Storefront performance
Product and collection pages, navigation, cart, mobile usability, merchandising, landing pages and site speed.
Analytics & reporting
Shopify and GA4 monitoring, funnel reviews, investigating unusual changes, and a monthly review with next actions.
Promotions & launches
Landing pages, bundles, discounts, collection merchandising, launch QA and tracking checks.
Team & vendor coordination
The ecommerce owner between your designers, developers, marketing and email teams, app vendors and agencies.
Hands-on Shopify work
Many improvements we build ourselves, so priorities don’t wait in someone else’s queue.
How it starts
A paid 30-day pilot, then decide.
Review
Week 1. Your store, analytics, team and vendors, and where work gets stuck today.
Plan
Week 2. Baseline metrics, a prioritized backlog, a 30–90 day roadmap and clear owners.
Ship
Weeks 2–4. One or two high-priority improvements, such as a product page, cart, mobile or tracking fix.
Decide
End of month. What was done, what we learned, next month’s roadmap and a retainer proposal, if it’s working for both of us.
After the pilot
A monthly retainer with ownership built in.
The retainer covers a set number of hours each month. Meetings, messages, reporting, QA and implementation all count toward it, so you always know what you’re getting. If a month needs more, we agree it before the work starts.
Retainers start at CA$3,000 a month.

- Revenue per visitor and site speed
Questions
Fractional ecommerce manager FAQ
Why not hire a full-time ecommerce manager?
A full-time hire means a salary, benefits, a long hiring process and a 40-hour week to fill. A fractional manager gives you experienced ownership for the hours the work actually needs, and you can scale up or stop later.
How is this different from hiring a developer?
A developer builds what you ask for. A fractional ecommerce manager decides what should be built, in what order, who should do it and what success looks like, then makes sure it ships. We also do much of the Shopify work ourselves.
Do you work with our existing team and agencies?
Yes. Coordinating your developers, designers, marketers, email team and app vendors is part of the role. We don’t replace people who are doing good work.
What happens if a month needs more than the agreed hours?
We tell you before the hours run out. Extra work is agreed in advance, moved to the next month, or quoted as a separate project.
How is pricing set?
Retainers start at CA$3,000 a month and are priced on the hours the work needs, which the pilot helps us both see. The 30-day pilot is a fixed fee agreed before we start.
Will we own everything?
Yes. Your store, theme, code, accounts, reports and roadmap stay yours, with no proprietary tools or lock-in.
